Natural extremes…longest burger lines…days 8 & 9

Our vacation ended, all we had left was our drive home. Since we reversed the order of our stops, we had two long days of driving from Yosemite to home. We picked a town roughly half-way – Kingman, AZ – that had a pool, as our place to stop at night. We packed up the van, said goodbye to our rented house and Yosemite, and headed home.

The only thing of note on the way home was our stop at lunch. We had heard from various Californians over the years that In & Out is the best fast-food burger ever. So we had to try it before leaving California. They were good. But we didn’t think that much better than Wendy’s, and we like Frosties.

The pool at the hotel was really nice: we all went swimming at night, and then Justin took the oldest three again in the morning, before we left.

The rest of the day after swimming in the morning was driving home. We stopped in Flagstaff for lunch, and then made excellent time, getting home for dinner, finishing at 2724.4 miles total for the trip.
